Year 6 - Hollywood

Welcome to Hollywood - Home of the Stars!

Meet our Pupil Leadership and Prefect teams for 2024/2025

A warm welcome to parents, friends and carers of Hollywood Class.

This year will be Y6.  The most amazing year in school!   My name is Mrs Godfrey and I will be class teacher for Hollywood.

We have started the year in style.  Getting to know each other and our new class and expectations.

We sent out a Y6 Snapshot at the end of last term but just in case you missed it...

We will try to post some action shots of our learning as often as we can.  Please also see Class Dojo for messages and photos.

Our value of this half term is RESPECT.

The Olympics are a current topic and we have been learning about sports and The Olympics in French.

Showcase Assembly

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to welcome back our amazing pupils, friends and families as we kick off the 2025 part of the school year.

We’ve navigated through the hustle and bustle of the Christmas term, the laughter echoing in the classrooms, and all those little moments that make our school feel like home. This year is all about new beginnings, fresh adventures, and friends and connections, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey with each and every one of you!

As we dive into this new school year, let’s embrace the opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection. We encourage everyone to get involved—join in on events, participate in activities, and support each other in every step of the way.

Here’s to an incredible 2025 filled with learning, friendship, and unforgettable moments together! Let’s make our last year of primary the best one yet!

Welcome to This Term's Class Updates!

We're excited to embark on another term filled with a delightful blend of fun, hard work, and plenty of laughter as we gear up for the SATs in May.

In English, we will continue our exploration of Skellig, delving deep into its themes and characters. In Science, our focus will shift to the fascinating human circulatory system, where we'll uncover the intricacies of how our bodies work. In History, we'll investigate the importance and function of a census, while in Geography, we’ll discover the sources of our energy and their impact on our world.

PE Schedule & Tips
PE will take place every Wednesday afternoon, so please remember to come dressed in your PE kit. As the weather can be a bit chilly at the start of the term, we recommend wearing warm joggers and a hoodie or sweatshirt.

Additionally, we're excited to invite all Year 6 students to our after-school SATs club on Mondays—completely free of charge! Enjoy some biscuits and juice while receiving expert guidance from the Year 6 teachers to help you succeed in your studies.  Pupils who are sadly unable to take advantage of this activity may, if they choose, take the practice materials home with them and return them to school to be marked.

We're looking forward to a fantastic term ahead!

It's not all maths and English you know. Art has been a delight this year so far. What do you think of our poses and representations of some famous paintings?

Here is a sneaky window into what we get up to in science lessons - we love to learn by doing practical and group activities.
