Harrowgate Hill exceeds the recommended weekly school hours.
Key Stage 2 receive 33 hours and 45 minutes school time not including wrap around care or Extra-curricular opportunities per week.
Key Stage 1 receive 32 hours and 55 minutes school time not including wrap around care or Extra-curricular opportunities per week.
Reception receive 33 hours and 45 minutes school time not including wrap around care or Extra-curricular opportunities per week.
Nursery is non-statutory education however we meet the 15 or 30 hour requirements with all day pupils receiving 32 per week which exceeds.
Before and After School Arrangements
Reception: (Icicles and Penguins)
At the start of the day: The Reception gates will open at 8.55am. Your child’s class entrance will be clearly marked with a class name. Children should be brought to the appropriate door, with their class number on and handed over personally to their Class Teacher each morning. At 9.00am, the gates are closed. After this time, children must access school through the school office where they will be recorded as being late.
At the end of the day: The Reception gate and classroom doors will open at 3.25pm, please wait in the Garden, outside of your child’s class. Your child will be handed over to you by the Class Teacher
Key Stage 1: Year 1 and Year 2 (Platypus, Koala, Dingoes, Wombats)
At the start of the day: The KS1 gates will open at 8.50am. Your child’s class entrance will be clearly marked with a class name. Children should be brought to the appropriate door, with their class number on and handed over personally to their Class Teacher each morning. At 9.00am, the gates are closed. After this time, children must access school through the school office where they will be recorded as being late.
At the end of the day: The KS1 gate and classroom doors will open at 3.25pm, please wait on the yard for the gates to open then you can collect your child.
Lower Key Stage 2: Year 3 and Year 4 (Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand)
At the start of the day: The whistle for the children will go at 8:45am and they should line up in their class spaces on the yard. Your child's class teacher will then walk them inside. There will be a staff member on the yard from 8:40am. Any pupil arriving after the 8:45am whistle has gone and left the yard will be late and will be taken into school via the office. Any child arriving after the gates are closed should be taken to the office by their parent/guardian and signed in.
At the end of the day: The teachers will lead the children out onto the yard at 3.30pm. Please collect your children from here.
Upper Key Stage 2: Year 5 and Year 6 (Mexico, Peru, Rio, Hollywood, New York, Wild West)
At the start of the day: The whistle for the children will go at 8:45am and they should line up in their class spaces on the yard. Your child's class teacher will then walk them inside. There will be a staff member on the yard from 8:40am. Any pupil arriving after the 8:45am whistle has gone and left the yard will be late and will be taken into school via the office. Any child arriving after the gates are closed should be taken to the office by their parent/guardian and signed in.
