Welcome to Penguins
We hope you enjoy looking at what we get up to in our class and following our learning journey. We are all very excited to be at school and are enjoying finding out and learning lots of new things.
Chick
Today we got to meet the new addition to the Polar Region. Our first egg hatched! It is soft and fluffy and very noisey!
Fruit Tasting
We had a special visit from Chartwells (our school caterers). They brought in lots of delicious fruits for us to try. We were very brave and tried then all. Some of them were yummy, others were not so nice!
Look how well our plants are growing. We have been watering then every day!
Judo
We enjoyed our visit from Judo Dan. We played some games and learnt some Judo moves.
Welcome to the Rainforest!
We have been exploring the rainforests. We discovered that there are rainforests all over the world. We talked about all the animals that live there and learnt about the weather.
Polar Week
We have been exploring the Polar regions. We learnt some facts about the weather, polar animals and famous explorers!
We looked at lots of Polar photos which inspired us to get creative! We made some transient art and Polar collages.
We also worked in small groups to write our own stories about Polar animals.
We are scientists!
We talked about ice and discovered that it is frozen water. We then did some experiments to see which conditions would keep ice cubes frozen for the longest and which material would be the best at keeping the ice frozen.
We had lots of fun exploring ice!
Parents Open Afternoon
We loved spending time with our parents and carers and showing them around our classroom!
People who help us
This term we have had a visit from local emergency services teams. We got to look around all the vehicles and learnt about their roles in the community.
We have been exploring our classroom and getting to know our new friends.
