-We have PE on a Thursday morning. Please remember to come in wearing your PE kit. Outdoor or indoor kit, it is up to you but please remember to wear your trainers!

-Reading is such an important skill to have so please bring your reading book and reading record into school everyday so we can hear your amazing reading! Remember to read to an adult at home too.

- Although your backpacks are lovely, they're a little too big for our pegs and end up on the floor so please bring your blue book bag instead.

Bugs 'n' Stuff

We loved having some unusual visitors in our classroom. We have learnt lots of cool facts.

Did you know...

- there are lots of different types of snakes?

- scorpions glow in the dark?

- we need bugs and animals to help with the environment?

- all stick insects are female?

- animals carefully pick where they sleep/walk/hang to keep to them away from predators?

- snakes are not slimy?

Printing

Florence Nightingale

We have been learning about Florence Nightingale and her impact on nursing. We have also been looking at what happens when we hurt ourselves and how doctors and nurses help us to get better.

All About Me!

Our topic for autumn term is 'All about me'. We will be learning about our skeletons, bodies and senses.

To start the topic off we are looking at the story of Funnybones and have a model skeleton and x-rays to see what our bones look like!

We have been cutting and joining using split pins to create a moving skeleton...

We have also been learning about how doctors and nurses help us. We researched Florence Nightingale and looked at the changes she made to nursing and hospitals.

We used our hospital role play area to act out how doctors and nurses look after us.
