Year 2 - Dingoes

Welcome to the Dingoes Class!

Hello and welcome to our Class Page. I am Mrs Fraser I am lucky to be the class teacher of the Dingoes! 

 

On our class page, you will be able to find out what wonderful things we get up to in Year 2 so make sure you keep a close eye on our page for updates!

PE is on a Monday. Remember to come to school in your PE kit.

The children loved the Rock Steady introduction in school. The children were very excited to hear lots of songs their know!

This half term we have been doing cricket in PE. The children are thoroughly enjoying it!

Sports Week 

This term we are learning all about 'The Scented Garden'. We have started this term with a fabulous trip to Low Barns. The children learnt lots about different plants and habitats. 

Keep a close eye on our garden as we have started to add lots of bits to it for Larry!

Judo Dan 

Judo Dan came to school to give us a taster session of Judo. The children really tried hard and enjoyed the experience. 

Mini Topic

We returned from the Easter holidays and learnt lots more facts about New Zealand. We enjoyed learning about a legend and even learnt a Haka!

World Book Day!

We had lots of fun reading lots of different stories and completing story based activities. 

PE

We have been developing our retrieval skills in PE! 

 

Africa

This term we are learning all about Africa. The children are really enjoying finding out more about the continent. 

Aspirations Week

Mrs Fraser's Maths Set 

We took our learning outside in maths to compare objects. 

RE

We have been making stained glass windows to show different religious teachings. 

 

Our First Class Trip

We went to Locomotion to find out all about George Stephenson and other railway journeys.  

Our First Week! 

We have enjoyed using different resources in our new classroom! 

We have been using an atlas and making our own globes to show the continents! 

In PE we have started our dance topic! We have been very creative with the shapes we have created.
