In Literacy this week we are going to be learning all about the Nativity Story.

Talk to your child and ask them what they liked about the story.
Who were the main characters?
Where was the story set?
What happened in the story?
Now print the sequencing cards (below) to order and retell the story.

Can you write a sentence about the Nativity Story?
Encourage your child to have a go at writing some sentences independently. If they struggle with this you can help them sound out each word. Ask them: What sounds can you hear in can? c – a- n.
Can you practise writing your name?
Can you practise writing the tricky words: I, no, to, go, the?
If they need help writing, you could use a light coloured pencil or a highlighter and ask your child to trace over the top of the letters.
