In Autumn we explored a range of topic from "What is it like here?" in Geography, Making History and exploring our past in History, focused on our understanding of numbers, shapes and using lots of hands on resources in maths. In English we loved looking at our stories, The Tiger who Came to Tea, One Snowy Night, Pumpkin soup and Funny bones. In art we enjoyed mark making and in DT making windmills.

In spring so far we have enjoyed our new story "Lost in the Toy Museum" and "Toys in Space". We have been exploring numbers to 20, using number lines, practicing our ball control in PE, learning about toys from the past, looking at everyday materials in Science and painting in ART. See some of our photos from our learning below!

World book day 2025

This year the children have had a go retelling the story 'we're going on a bear hunt' using expression and actions! Then the children got creative and thought up their own stories and characters. We used story boards to tell our stories and in the afternoon we made our own character puppets. Some Koalas were very brave and told their stories to the whole class. We have enjoyed reading many books today and getting involved with the whole-school Stop, Drop, Read! The costumes all looked fantastic! Well done Koalas!
