Icicles
We are Icicles!
We are the fantastic Icicles class. There are 21 of us and we have all settled very well into school. Mrs Aitken our teacher and Miss White our TA are very proud of us.
We hope you enjoy looking at what we get up to on our 'Learning Journey' this year.
Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
We had a wonderful week celebrating The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We found out about Queen Elizabeth II and her life. We made timelines of her from a baby to an adult, read stories and books about her and watched videos of her through her life. We read 'The Queen's Hat' story and found out all about London Landmarks. We enjoyed drawing pictures of them and making models of them. We had a great time making flags and crowns. On Thursday we had a special assembly and watched a beautiful animation and all danced through the seven decades together! On Friday we enjoyed a whole school yard party with The Mayor of Darlington. We sang a special Jubilee song and listened to The National Anthem. We all ate our lunch outside together and had a special Jubilee cupcake. We also performed later on for our parents and carers on the field and watched Year 6 dance the maypole. it was a wonderful week of celebrations and creating memories for us all.
We have started to brush our teeth every day at school to help keep them clean and healthy.
