Zones of Regulation
The Zones of Regulation
Within every classroom at Harrowgate Hill Primary, you will find an area of the classroom which is signposted as the ‘Zones of Regulation.’ This is an evidence-based resource which enables the children to communicate how they are feeling, in an accessible, safe and non-judgmental way. Using the tool school-wide enables us to have a consistent and open approach to self-regulation and sharing feelings. It also allows the children to let their teacher know which ‘zone’ they are in, including being able to let an adult know they need time and space to discuss how they are feeling, privately.
