Welcome to Hollywood, Class of 2026.

Parents, Guardians and pupils,

I am delighted to welcome you to Hollywood Class!  Y6, this year promises to be an exciting and memorable journey as you enter your final year of Primary School.  It's a time filled with new learning adventures, fun activities and wonderful opportunities to grow, both academically and personally.

Throughout the year we will focus on preparing you for the next stage of your education, while also making sure we have plenty of fun along the way.  We will explore a wide range of subjects, including exciting science experiments, creative art projects, engaging reading and writing activities and always plenty of maths challenge.

We will celebrate our achievements, developing confidence, independence and facing challenge with resilience. At the start of any new year we always wonder what the year will bring.  Let's make this the best one yet!

Important reminders for Hollywood Class:

• Please wear correct school uniform at all times.  School colours and black footwear.
• Starting from 10th September, we will have PE on a Wednesday afternoon.  PE will be taught by Mr Howell each week. 
• Homework will be issued on Monday for spelling test on Friday.
• There will be weekly Times Tables Rock Stars activities to do.
• Please read at home and share your books with adults at home. 
• Log books on to Boom Reader and Quiz on Accelerated Reader - both can be accessed from home.  ( I will send reminders home on how to do this)

Some events this half term to look out for. 

We are currently in the process of voting for House and Sports Captains.  Winners will be notified in assembly on Monday afternoon.

Other Y6 Prefect positions will be decided upon through the next week or so.  

9.9.25: We will have a theatre performance of Alice in Wonderland to watch on Tuesday 9th September - no cost.

10.9.25: Meet the Teacher will be held in classrooms after school on the 10th September from 3.30 to 4.30.

Welcome to the Spring Term in Hollywood Class!

A warm welcome to all our pupils, parents and carers as we begin an exciting new Spring Term together. I hope you all had a restful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the term ahead.

This term promises to be a busy and rewarding one for Hollywood Class, with lots of engaging learning, new challenges and opportunities to shine both in and out of the classroom. Year 6 is an important and memorable year, and I am really looking forward to supporting the children as they continue to grow in confidence, independence and resilience.
