Autumn 1 India Timetable

We had the most fabulous time watching Alice in Wonderland! Everyone was laughing (even the teachers).

Our first topic in Maths has been Place Value. We have used our manipulatives to develop our understanding of partitioning and then flexibly partitioning a number!

In Science, we thought carefully about how important food is for survival due to the energy it provides. We explored a variety of activities and the energy levels required and then the nutritional value of food.

In Maths, we have now moved onto Addition and Subtraction. Before starting the formal written method, we have explored the concept of adding and subtracting across 10's and 100's.

Our topic for History this half-term has been Stone to Iron Age. To understand the concept of trading in the Iron Age, we played a game which focused on the bartering process.

Show Racism the Red Card!

In D.T. this half-term, we have been exploring the concept of 'Eating Seasonally' and what this means. We designed, made and evaluated our seasonal tarts!

Tasting our ingredients...

Making our tart...

Our final step was tasting our tarts. We enjoyed every mouthful!! cheeky
