Hello and welcome to our Class Page.
I am Mrs Brown and I teach the wonderful Wombats and I am also the Assistant Headteacher of Key Stage 1.
We have a jam packed, exciting year ahead of us in Year 2!

Our art work has been inspired by maps this term. We created relief maps using our map sketching as inspiration.
In our History topic, we investigated what schools were like in the past. We looked at different sources to find out about our school.
We have looked at place value in Maths. We have explored numbers to 100 identifying how many tens and ones make the number up. We have used this to partition the numbers. We use our maths manipulatives to help us with our work.
In Science, we developed our understanding of bending, stretching, squashing and twist using playdough. We then investigated to see if we can use this on different objects.
