In Art, we have been exploring textures created by paint. We have used this to create collages about things we enjoy at school.
In PSHE, we have been learning about Health and Wellbeing. We discussed the importance of exercise and the benefits on our mind and body. Thiking about this, we created our own physical exercise games to get our heart rate beating faster.
As part of our RE work looking at Christianity, we uncovered the names of Jesus' 12 disciples.
We have been learning about what school was like in the past. Visitors were invited in to talk about what was similar and different to Harrowgate Hill Primary school when they went to school. Tori's mum came in and answered lots of questions about the things she did when she went to school. Thank you to Tori's mum for coming in to chat to us. She even brought some phots in to show us.
This half term in Science, we have been looking at microhabitats. We looked at our school grounds to see what different microhabitats there were and the conditions the minibeasts preferred.
Christmas Party
Key Stage 1 came together for a Christmas party! We had lots of fun in our classrooms playing Christmas bingo, pass the parcel and just dance before going along to the hall for lots of dancing, singing and more games! We finished off our day with some party snacks.
We all had lots of fun and looked amazing in our party clothes!
