We are extremely pleased to be able to offer our current Year 6 cohort the opportunity to attend Dearne Valley Activity Centre as a residential visit in the Summer term after their SATs. We had an amazing response from the initial letter and therefore, due to the overwhelming interest, are pleased to announce we are going ahead with the booking.
We depart from Harrowgate Hill on Wednesday 17th June 2020 and return on Friday 19th June 2020.
Now that we have confirmed final numbers with Kingswood we can confirm that the total cost of the residential trip is £230.50.
The majority of parents indicated that they would prefer to pay through monthly instalments. As a result of this we have created a payment plan, which is detailed below:
|On the:||Amount to be Paid|
|1st November 2019||£37.00|
|1st December 2019||£37.00|
|£74.00 must be paid by 1st December 2019|
|1st January 2020||£37.00|
|1st February 2020||£37.00|
|1st March 2020||£37.50|
|£111.50 must be paid by 31st March 2020|
|The full amount of £230.50 must be paid by 31st March 2020.|
We have arranged for Parentmail Pay to be set up for trip payments, enabling you to pay in instalments.
In order to pay this way, please log onto Parentmail and then click on 'Payments' followed by 'Shop' at which point you should see a payment for Kingswood. You need to add this to your basket before proceeding with payment.
We would highly recommend that you use Parentmail Pay for all transactions, as this keeps a log of how much you have paid.
During the three day stay, the children will participate in a wide range of activities.
Accommodation will be in dormitories, with a separate staff room close by.
The activity centre is run by appropriately qualified and trained staff and the website information can be found at: https://www.kingswood.co.uk/activity-centres/dearne-valley/
We will be holding a short information meeting in the School Hall on Tuesday 14th January 2020 at 5pm regarding the Year Six residential trip to Dearne Valley in June 2020.
During the meeting we will explain more about this exciting experience and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You will be able to meet some of the Staff who will accompany the children on the trip and they will be pleased to speak with you and answer your questions.
Please enter school via the main entrance where you will be guided down to the Hall by members of staff. You are more than welcome to bring your child along to the meeting with you, so that they too, have a better understanding of the residential.
