Staff have been busy preparing learning packs for your children which have now been sent home.
Please do not start these packs (unless your child is self-isolating). These packs have been prepared in the event that schools are nationally closed as a result of Government recommendations. Staff will also provide access to information on the website to accompany the packs should this be needed in the event of prolonged closure. These packs will not be marked as passing them all back into school increases potential infection, they are designed to support student study at home.
There will be signposts to additional support and resources in the Class Pages section of the website.
Some work may have been sent via Parentmail to reduce printing.
In the event of School Closure:
School staff will still be working from home, preparing and planning lessons in advance for when we re-open. They will also be updating class pages with new learning as needed if closure goes on beyond a few weeks. Their other work has been directed by the leadership team.
You can still email the school Admin team as normal (firstname.lastname@example.org) and messages will be relayed to key staff.
In the event the Government forcibly close schools, this will be a national announcement, we will however inform you via ParentMail and the website.
In the event that we need to close the school on a short term basis we will give you as much notice as possible in the same ways mentioned above. Closures will be full not partial closures. However, please consider that staffing may only be known on a morning. Equally in the event of a confirmed case, the school may need to be closed for deep cleaning.
See above/below for Learning Pack information.
We apologise for any disruption any of the aforementioned may cause to our families, however public health is everyone’s priority and responsibility, and ensuring the safety of our stakeholders, staff and children in our school is of paramount importance. We know that you all support us in trying to achieve this.
Please note, this may all change in the event of daily Government updates.
All Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have been sent home with a KS2 Maths, Reading and Grammar revision book as well as a Science project outline.
These are to be kept in the event of a School Closure.
Home learning can be supported with looking at the topics in the booklets, finding those that proved difficult and looking for online videos, games and resources from sites such as BBC Bitesize, You Tube etc... Many sites are offering temporary membership for home learning.
However, please remember to stay safe online and always ask for parental permission before using Google.
